Schonsheck, Inc. built the Koppert building in the 90’s for light industrial use. Koppert Biological Systems converted the building to growing and warehousing bees for agricultural use. Schonsheck, Inc. added 18,000 SF to the building for additional warehouse space and a new employee lounge. Angelini + Associates of Ann Arbor provided an interior and exterior design that took inspiration from the very fruits that the bees pollinate and developed a vibrant employee lounge that is connected to the outdoors with a 18’ wide glass wall that opens completely, connecting the two spaces for gatherings and events.
